Don’t Waste Film Just Because You’re In NYC

In mid-March, I went to New York and knew that the end of Polaroid was already looming. I lived in the City for nine years, so it wasn’t that big of a deal, but I was surrounded by all these great people…old friends, new friends and things got carried away. I took way too many Polaroids. I wasted film! I didn’t realize it until the next day that almost all of the film I brought with me was taken during the long and drunken night before. I went uptown, downtown …all over Manhattan looking for film. I went to at least 7 Duane Reade’s a K-Mart, two Metro Drugs and other places and only managed to find one single 10-pack of Spectra film. The end really was near.

While I was in town, I got a few backstage shots of Justin Bond at PS122 and Baltimore friend, Chase Lisbon and his Supercult gang. Here are a few from those days.
