Paige Pumphrey is a sexy super woman. I met up with her for a few Polaroids and she showed up with an eye-opening vinyl (rubber?), superhero get-up. It seemed only appropriate that we shoot on the roof because that’s where superheroes like to hang out. Her whole look was so strong and bigger than life that I wanted her to convey some feeling of vulnerability, but I don’t think I fully succeeded in capturing what I was visualizing. It was like it wasn’t in Super Paige’s capabilities to express uncertainty or a glimmer of fear. She was a superhero and there was no kryptonite equivalent to bring her down.
