Halloween ‘08
I’m so predictable. Of course I spent Halloween night at the Club Charles. I don’t have to drive around and I know I’ll always see lots of people. And who did I run into on Halloween you ask?
Early in the evening a friend said, “There’s a really scary clown here.” And I mentally brushed it off thinking that everyone overreacts when it comes to “scary clowns”. But when I saw this one, I realized that he was the king of scary clowns. I think it was the sparse, wispy hair that was attached to his skull. Shudder.
My favorite costume of the night was The Lady in the Radiator from Eraserhead! It was like a celebrity sighting when I saw her. She even had those disgusting worm-things
Anna Connor of Thrushes looked kind of like one of the characters from the Katzenjammer Kids. I think she was a salty old man of the sea though.
Since the last time I saw Penny the Monkey Girl, she got shacked up and had herself a baby. I was a little confused about the parentage. I know that Wham City’s Mason had something to do with it.
I don’t know why I liked this costume so much. There were three or four of these guys all wearing cheap paper plate masks, button-down shirts and ties. It just had the right amount of ridiculousness.
Eric looked incredible as a demure geisha. Look at his expression, he wants to be dominated.
Debbie was as cute as ever as Snow White and Armi went as Debbie!
Best hair of the night went to Liz Bardelli whose coif went perfectly with her nifty outer space get-up.
I’m not sure who Boson is supposed to be, but he sure looks cute!
I’m not sure what Chuck is supposed to be either, but he looks really cute too!
Lauren went as Velma and here we were trying to reenact a moment where she can’t find her glasses. I didn’t get it right though and the glasses are cut off.

These are so great! I like those paper plate masks. Reminds me of something I googled during one of Klaus and my Google Challenges of 2004 but I lost the link :(
