All of the Baker Artist Award winners and people involved with the project got together for a nice dinner at Gertrude’s at the BMA yesterday. It was fun to see everyone again after the first stressful time we met before they announced the winners Carl Grubbs, Hadieh Shafie and John Ruppert.
It was Cinco de [...]
My proposal for a space at this year’s Midway Exhibit at Artscape was approved and I will have an installation/exhibit all about Wilma Martinez on the Charles St. Bridge!
I’m very excited. It will be filled with intrigue, glamour, fashion and horror! To celebrate, I wanted to post a few never before seen Polaroids of Wilma [...]
Matthew Kern emailed me last week to see if I would be interested in photographing him for a book project he is working on. I did not know him, but I was pleasantly surprised to realize that I was familiar with his work and considered it some of the best Polaroid art I’ve ever encountered.

The work in Jeremy’s studio right now is fantastic. So colorful, dynamic and filled with so many emotional and psychological elements. I think it’s the best work he’s ever done.

The Polaroid of this cute bunny was for my internet pal, Stoopidgerl. [...]
These whiskey-guzzling wrestling clowns are all named after sausages and they were doing a radio show at Goucher College in Towson last night. Gavin Heck aka Blood Pudding, which apparently is some sort of sausage, asked me if I wanted to swing by Load of Fun to take a few photos. How could I [...]
I keep thinking that after I run out of all of my Polaroid film that I’ll start painting again. I was really “into it” during the very early 90s. When I moved from SF to NYC, I gave my paints and easel away. Since then I’ve dabbled a little, but never to the [...]
